,BOX
2 types of boxes may be created, a plain border box and
a shadow box. Boxes start from the specified Row Pos and
extend down and to the right.
You may create a box with NO BORDER by using a line width
of 99 (with a border box).
Various fill patterns are available within the boxes.
A special type of box is created if you select a fill
pattern of 'CB'. This will create a 'Check Off' type
box - square and unlike normal boxes it extends UP from
the starting Row Pos (so as to match a line of text that
may be placed next to it.

"COPY ELEMENTS
Copy design elements.
A 2 part process. First change the 'RP' (reference point)
of each element you want to copy to a '+' plus sign.
Press [F6] to toggle QWIK MODE to make this easier.
Now, press [F9] to MOVE elements. For the 'Rp' use a '+'
plus sign. You may also optionally add a Row & Col pos
value that will be added to the copied elements Row & Col
position.
The '+' tagged elements will be copied. If a Row &/or Col
value was added, they will be copied to the new position.
The new elements will have a 'Rp' of Z. The orginal '+'
tagged elements remain unchanged. The process may be
repeated again, using new Row Col positions, as needed.

DEFAULT FONT SET
Each time you install a new printer driver you can select
whether or not you desire a new default set of fonts.
Unless you are using ECPAGE to develop forms for several
models of printers you should not be installing printer
drivers very often. Using the same font ID numbering
pattern, you can have one design that will print on a
LJ3 and a LJ4, depending on which driver you have
installed.
Unless you SAVE the font set [F10], the changes you may
have made are lost. The SAVE function is available only
in the registered version, as that version has access to
the full font support file. Use 'Font Maint.' to save.

)FONTS
FONTS SUPPORTED
ECPage supports the internal scalable proportional fonts
available in the LJ3 thru LJ5 series and 100% PCL5 clones.
Only proportional PCL fonts are used, others such as fixed
pitch, 'TrueType' and 'Postscript' are not supported.
Any font used in a design MUST be resident in the printer
to work, as ECPage and ECData contain no fonts, just the
width data for selected fonts.
If you need a design to print out on either a LJ3 or LJ4,
use a common font between them, UNIVERS and CGTIMES. If
you use a font not available in a printer, fixed pitch
printing, with justification problems will result.

Each ID# must be unique, if you enter a duplicate ID#,
you will be prompted to retry with a new ID.

&FONT SET
FONT SET.
This table selection contains all the FONT ID's that have
been created so far. Font ID's may be added, edited or
deleted as desired.
Avoid deleting a Font ID that is used in a current form
design, or fixed pitch printing will result.
For these fonts to be used, they MUST be available on the
printer. Printing a form using these fonts on a non-PCL5
LaserJet, such as a LJ IIP, will not work. Fixed pitch
printing with severe justification problems will result.
You can save this font set as the new 'DEFAULT FONT SET'
if desired, press F10 (Registered version only).

CREATING A TEMPLATE
The template is the print specification file for a data
base. Each template must have a unique name, consider
naming the template for an associated ECPage form title.
Press F10 for a list of ECPage Titles, or use any name.
Once you save a template you can't later change it's name.
The fields T1-T15 are the database field titles you can
use, and give a reference name to. Each needs to have a
row and col (R C/Inch/cm) position, font ID# and type of
justification. As in ECPage, entering an incorrect font
ID will pop up a selection table of valid fonts. Fill in
template without leaving blank spots in the field list.
Use F2 to access the SCALABLE FONT utility, or F5 to view
the current font list.
